about

This album was recorded live at the Railway Friendly Bar in 2004. The Publican, Tom Mooney, lent us a couple of grand to produce the album and we repaid it by playing gigs at the rails. We didn't really need the money but owing him was a neat way of ensuring that we'd get booked without having to beg, and not be cancelled at short notice - which were typical difficulties. Tom's contribution is appreciated, He continues to present live music at the Rails every night and it's a good fun gig.

Ever since discovering the guitar as a child in the mid '60s Azo Bell has played with music.

He's performed solo and with jazz, world, theatrical and experimental ensembles in Australia and many other countries.

His method is to follow rather than direct the music.
His recordings are mostly live, featuring improvisation, interplay and fun.

Alleged father of two, also works as a guitar tech.
